Hi,

My first post and Mercedes. Made the switch from Audi to Mercedes recently and must say I now know where the "Class" in models designation comes from. What a car, amazed at quality, fun of driving, service, everything :).
I am looking at switching my pristix wheels for some Pulaha 18". I looked in the UK (including the MB catalog) and they are:
Pulaha | 5-twin-spoke wheelıncenıo designer wheel | Finish: sterling silverFront axle:Wheel: 7.5 J x 18 ET 47 | Tyre: 225/40 R18Rear axle:Wheel: 8.5 J x 18 ET 58 | Tyre: 245/35 R18Option
Looked at new ones in ebay Germany (much cheaper) and they are 4 x 7.5 J x 18 ET 47 | Tyre: 225/40 .
Anyone know why they are not sold with the wider different rear ones? And more importantly will the German ones fit (offset of 47) in the rear?
Any thoughts on this would be great.

They are sold in Germany as a winter wheel set for AMG owners, and they are all 7.5" wide and 225 wide tyres.

The extra 11mm of offsett will mean they fill the arches nearly the same as the 1" wider rear if you went with a staggered set up.

Benefits of same all round is probably better economy and the ability to swap front to rear half way through their life to make them last longer.
The downside is the slightly wider rear will reduce oversteer slightly and made the car feel slightly more planted. However, the W204 slightly understeers, nothing like an Audi mind! ;) But it does slightly understeer, and the narrower rear may actually make it feel slightly better balanced.

Have you looked on here......

Mercedes C Class Estate S204 alloys | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd

Not sure how they compare price wise??

Oh, and welcome to the forum. :D

.

Thanks. I did look at alloywheelsdirect but the german ones with same tires fitted and balanced and delivered are £430 cheaper. Only difference is the size being the same for all 4 wheels. But if that doesn't make much of a difference then they are more than worth it, don't you agree?

Yeah definitely, have you looked on ebay, some nice AMG style ones on there, genuine ones that people are upgrading from, for good money with tyres.

You mean uk or de ebay? On the uk one didn't find many that fitted at good price. I saw a lot of replica ones, but I want to stick to original AMG or MB stuff.
