W204 : Alternative brake pads

How much would it cost to replace the rear pads with genuine pads?
QUOTE]

Had my front discs/pads replaced by a local MB indy using genuine MB items for £280 (inc. parts, labour & VAT).

Local MB dealer wanted almost £100 more for the same job!

If you got the knowledge and tools to swap discs/pads then do it yourself and save the labour costs.

I guess you looking about the same price for doing the rear discs/pads? I suggest you look at the discs for wear, as my experience with MB discs is that they are soft - you will probably end up changing the discs as well as the pads.

I've got MB discs and pads, front & rear. They work well and are quiet. The issue I have is the dust they emit. My alloys are filthy after a few miles.

The only less dust pads I've seen are the Textar E pads - the feedback from C36fan is that they are noisy (thanks for the info), which is no good for me. I was debating whether to splash out on them or not, as they are quite expensive. So back to square one.

I have the standard Pagid pads on my Audi, dust is ok, no squeaks, stop the car well and are cheap. So I'll probably get a set. I'll report back once I change them over.
