Morning all.

Recently purchased a 2008 C320cdi with 64k miles and as with all my new vehicles I am going to carry out a full service to ensure that it has the type of fluids that I prefer.

Last service according to the book was at 52k miles some 2 years ago but the assyst plus on dash is showing 300 days left?

Is there anyway of resetting the time remaining to reflect service carried out early, cant seem to see anything on the dash to allow this?

It seems that the service indicator was reset 65 days ago... probably because the car kept asking for a service ('service overdue' notification).

You can reset the service indicator from the 'secret menu' in the instrument cluster.

Great thanks for letting me know will sort this out. Thought it strange at the time so looks like either previous owner or the used car dealer reset it when they traded in so warning wouldn't show to prospective buyers.

Maybe, or it may have had an oil change. Trouble is, without any paperwork you will probably never know. Best to do as you plan and assume it needs everything, the you start from a clean baseline.

My thoughts exactly 👍
