W204 audio 20 , 2009 model. Problems

I've the UMI system installed on my audio 20 in my car.Everything was working fine for the past couple of months until a few Weeks ago when I suddenly lost the sub bass sound to any music played on the iPod or the radio. I could get mid and highs. I took it to the dealers it's still under warranty and they said they did a software download on the audio 20 to cure they problem. It appeared to work but now my unit is totally unresponsive and doesn't even turn on now with the ignition on or off. I'm going to take ther car back to the dealer but is there anything specifically I should be ensuring they do or is this a known problem with the audio 20 or the UMI..? Cheers.

Sounds like a blown fuse, check the fuse.

Nope not a fuse, checked ask the boxes and fuses and they are fine. I'm getting really p....d of with the niggly electronic gremlins my ownership of theW204 has seemed to manifest. From new I've never been to a dealer as many times as I have with this car. Lovely to drive but just a bloody pain for bits going wrong.My experience of Mercedes has been nothing but visit after visit. Offers of free servicing and reduced servicing seem insignificant compared too the hassle.

Tony, I have a spare audio 20 from a 204 if you need one to "prove a theory" so to speak.

Cheers, I've given the dealer another go and we'll see where it gets us.I'll keep you posted.
