Hi all
Just bought a 2008 auto estate with 40k on the clock and full dealer service.

Would appreciate any recommendations for Indy specialists in Gloucestershire or views of the main dealer in Gloucester.

Anything that I should be checking to fend off any problems, advice gratefully received!

Really pleased with the car, do a lot of miles and wanted a comfy cruiser and this fits the bill perfectly with a bit of class

Many thanks

I have used Cheltenham and Gloucester MB main dealer at Staverton Gloucester for the last 3 years. According to the online quotes they are a little cheaper than MB Worcester. Always seem to get a good service and have only had advisories once for tyres, which was correct information. Meaning they don't seem to 'try it on'.

Local independent specialists are as below and they probably have good reviews on their websites.

FOR GLOUCESTER AREA CUSTOMERS: ROBIN LAMB INDEPENDENT MERCEDES SPECIALIST TEL: 01452 500808

Thanks geraldrobins, prefer to get personal reviews
Next service is a b3 so will look into service care

I've had my 2009 C180K for almost a year with no problems other than the one it was sold to me with which was a faulty front damper that caused a suspension knock. One of the guys here (probably one of the pros) said it was a not uncommon fault on the early W204's.

The fault I live in fear of and this one is not peculiar to W204's is the wretched EIS steering lock failure - also not that uncommon. This can leave you stranded anywhere with only an MB dealer fix possible. I wish there was a way of pre-empting this fault for example by removing the steering lock solenoid or perhaps just taking care never to engage the steering lock.
