Hi I'm stuck and losing the will here is the issue
When I turn the key to the start position the p sign on the instrument cluster doesn't show the box to indicate it's in gear and car wont start, if u leave it in this position for a few seconds and turn the key back to position 2 then back to start position the p will be highlighted and the car will start and drive fine, this is a intermittent fault but has gradually got worse.
I have had the ignition barrel checked and no faults
Had ecu checked and all fine
Replaced can block in drivers footwell
Replaced battery
Checked all fuses and relays
Car has been in a Mercedes specialist for past month and no luck
Faults coming as communication between the control unit n3/9 and electronic selector module
Disconnected the gear selector module and still same issue.
I'm stuck where to go next, can any 1 shed some light ?
