Im considering what to do,,

My car has 12 months warranty to go so its either remap in 12 months time or tuning box now.

Question i have is my car has the 7g auto box. When these cars are remapped do they make any adjustments to the gearbox programming.

I dont want to buy a tuning box if thats only doing half the job.

Had a remap done today even though in warranty. Is used and get 12 month warranty with it. Chances of anything going wrong, in my Mercedes experience, nil! So worth the risk. And after driving since the remap, like having a new car :bannana:

Thinking about this for my c220 which is still in warranty ..

Whats the extra power like is it noticeable ?

And when driving the same style do you average better mpg ?

Really can tell the difference in performance. Probably too early to tell for definite whether MPG is any better.....
Torque on it is amazing

The gear box turbine ( Torque Converter ) comes weak after using vehicle over 20.000 km if you make the remap on diesel models of W204.
You need to change it after 20.000 km because when you press the throttle pedal slowly, you feel the vibration in the vehicle body.

I have 2011 Facelift 7G W204 C 250 CDI Rear Wheel drive version.
I make the remap to my vehicle and i change the delphi fuel injectors with the highest pressured ones ( i was go to delphi factory for this in germany ) and i change the Engine Control unit values with a special sw.
i removed the gear box and put the new W222 S Class's torque converter in 2013.

Now the engine is 254 HP and 600 NM power and nobody's E350 CDI and CLS 350 CDI can follow me in the highway. 2 Years over 50.000 i havent got any problem and i havent got any error on the diagnostic computer about my engine and my gearbox.
Everything is perfect.

Quantum Tuning in Leeds did mine but they're based all over the country, they come to home or work to do it if you like.
Did a round town run yesterday and got 43mpg from 23miles and that was averaging 26mph.
Better than what I'd got before. Need to try a long motorway run now at some point....
