W204 C220 CDI oil and coolant temps

Hi Guys,

A friend of mine is looking at buying a C220 and has recently test drove one he likes. However, he was concerned about oil/coolant temps?

Does anyone have a rough idea of what he should expect? I suggested around 80 degrees for coolant and maybe 90-100 for the oil?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Mine hovers between 75 and 80 water temp depending on if I'm cruising or in traffic

I believe 90 is the optimum coolant temperature. Mine takes around 20 minutes to fully warm up so a car on a test drive if started from cold may not achieve it. Not many cars have oil temperature gauges.
