C220 Coupe
Hello

I have a 2013 W204 C220 Coupe which has been absolutely fine and has thrown a P0299 code.. it goes into limp mode with the EML light on but still drives pretty well although won't kick down.

I've cleared the code and it came back and so checked hoses, nothing obvious, removed the turbo inlet feed from the air box to check for impeller play, there's a little but the impeller moves fine and no excessive oil. I've checked all connectors and cleaned the MAF as well.

I've now got a P2279 and a P2463

Nothing obvious wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

2463 is dpf and soot content. 2279 is intake air leak.

Hi i am currently getting the P2463 fault code, i had a split intercooler pipe replaced with a genuine MB part. It then threw up the code at first no EML was not on but was definitely in limp mode would not rev above 3000rpm etc. told by MB dpf needs clean and to replace the pressure sensor so I replace the sensor and got in contact with mobile cleaning service £210 later the gent says he has cleared the dpf checked all the system including pressure sensor and egr all os good but cannot clear the code as it is a permanent stored code. He said it needs to go to MB to be wiped using star. Is this true? I have a generic torque OBDII reader and have noticed before even starting the car it comes up as a pending fault even after clearing the faults turn the ignition off turn it back on the pending fault is back and the car is in limp mode. After a short while the EML light comes on. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The pressure sensor needs an adaptation to reset stored values , otherwise it sees previous values. Live data it should be something like -0.04 to +0.04.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have the car booked in Friday with a local MB specialist as MB near me had no dates available until 2nd week of September!! I will post the findings and fixes ( if it is fixed😭😭 ) when I have seen them.

Hi there - did this indeed fix the problem? Seems to be me there can be many causes for P0299 and related codes, but other than split pipes this is a common one.

Its a simple generic code , you have to check all sorts.
