Good evening, looking for assistance with LOCATING this sensor......
There's certainly a pair of captive studs under the passenger seat - which looks like where it ought to be.
Having convinced myself that I must have misunderstood the German Language youtube How-To, I then took out the driver's seat as well, but still no sign of this pesky sensor (not even any studs on that side though)
If somebody knows where it is situated, I'd be very grateful for that info - I'm stumped for once.
Thanks for any/all replies.
Simon

Click on the large images for clarity. It should be under the drivers seat as you suspected.
(The images in the link are for a US LHD vehicle) Figure 7 shows the sensor you are looking for.

Hi AMGeed
Thanks for sharing the link, Pelican are usually very good at How-Tos!
As I mentioned in my original post, there are 2 captive studs in this exact location on the left side of my chassis - there is no sensor bolted on them. The Driver's side has no sensor either, nor even any studs to mount it on.
I'm guessing that there must be another possible location, for this chassis type :)
:wallbash: I'm hoping someone can tell me before I end up stripping out all the carpets to find it.:wallbash:

For the benefit of anyone finding this topic, it turns out that the newest models MY 2012 from March 2011 production date, have the acceleration sensor incorporated in an updated EPS control module. It’s hidden in the update notes in the WIS.
