W204 C250 CDI - Fuel Filter

Hi guys,

Car is having a few issues under WOT hiccups and also the occasional fuel pressure low fault so starting with (what I thought) would be a routine serviceable item the fuel filter I asked my local Indy MB specialist about it and he said it's in the fuel tank and it's a lifetime item i.e. Change only after 15 years doesn't sound right to me?

Yep that's correct.

On a diesel it's under the engine cover and it's changed every 4yrs.

I'd find yourself another "specialist" its under the bonnet, might be an expensive one with a fixed water sensor around £80.

Yep its the same on my CDI engine, I was going to replace it just for good practice under the 4 years but then found out the price of it!
