W204 C320 CDI - Shock Absorber

Hi all,

First time on the forum.. Hoping someone can help me out!

I had a broken spring in my 2008 C320 CDI - now it appears after replacing the spring, I need a new shock too..

It has an electrical component on the shock and the dealer is looking for over 500 for a single shock..

Any alternatives? Anyone with same issue.. One broken spring and shock is going to cost me over £700, which seems very very steep!!

Ok - so I think I have managed to source a set for less than the dealer is looking..

Anyone any experience, or familiar with part numbers? I am able to get monroe shocks with part number 204 323 1000 - which I am pretty certain match what I need..

But would just like additional confirmation before I order them..

Hi SMB77,

Where did you manage to source these from? I've got a 57 plate W204 C320 CDi sport with the dynamic handling package. Front right shock is leaking oil and is noisy when I bounce that corner of the car.

I went to the stealer and they quoted me 2043230900 and 2043231000 for front right and left shocks and wants £587 + VAT each!!
