Judging from my recently replaced disks, at the minimum disk thickness you are a very long way from that happening. Someone said at minimum thickness you are good to wear out a part worn set of pads before replacing the disk. I'd tend to agree with that. The main reason I replaced mine which were only just at minimum or slightly above was because they were an advisory at the previous MOT and I didn't want two MOT's on the trot to show the same advisory. For the record does anyone know if the MOT can be failed on worn discs. I doubt they can use minimum thickness as a precise and instant fail criteria not least because they wouldn't be able to measure them.
 
They cant fail you for being below the limit....let alone close to it...
From the testers manual.....I was one once!

"A brake disc or drum must be significantly worn before you should reject it. Being worn below the manufacturer’s recommended limits is not a reason in itself."

Finally got round to changing them today, together with new pads.
I can confirm as everyone said 30mm is stamped on them for minimum thickness..
