Has anyone had an issues with a sort whistling/wind noise at speeds around 70 or just over? It sounds like its coming from the bonnet/windcreen area but actuating the wipers the noise does not change as my first thought was the wipers are not genuine items

Noise is still there when windows and sunroof are open but i also did think that maybe being a wagon the roof bars could be the issue but cant see Mercedes allowing that to be apparent during production without a later TSB to sort the issue. I have heard of the earlier cars having issues with the mirrors but this is a facelift 2012?

2x things i have noticed however are the intake shroud as you open the bonnet the rubber seals are breaking up/going soft so have ordered a new shroud and also what looks like a foam strip on the upper grill section (bonnet side) is degrading/ starting to break away also

Would be good to know if anyone else has or has had this issue and what potential fixes there are as its driving me up the wall. Only other thing i have noticed is if im on the motorway and at constant speed descending down a hill the noise appears to either quiet down or disappear altogether but is apparent while ascending a hill?

Cheers

The only noise I ever had since owning the car from new is whistling at 185+ on the autobahn and from seeing other W204 C63 in videos doing the same it’s normal.

It’s probably the foam seal around the top of the grill or as you said the rubber seal on the intake shroud.

I used to get whistling I think from the wing mirrors
