Hi,
I about ready for changing the front disc and pads on my C63 pp 2011 and got a shock at the prices. Did a few searches on here and there’s not much info after 2017 so I was hoping for some advice and help from the forum.

Does anyone else like Brembo now make a floating front disc set or are there other performance options now? ...Which are cheaper than merc dealers?. I’ve been quoted £1550 For parts but I managed to get it to from Merc Edinburgh for £994.
This price is a lot better but want to pick you guys brains to see if there is any other options before taking the plunge.

kind Regards
Paul.

You will struggle to find anything cheaper than the genuine discs.

Autodoc

eBay
Thanks for your reply......daft question but do A.B.S and Zimmerman make the genuine discs for Mercedes?. If so that price on auto doc is not to bad tbh!.(if that’s for the pair). Do they make the pads as well?

^ Sorry to say, AutoDoc's price is for a single disc:(
Zimmerman are/were a supplier for genuine MB discs. No idea on the ABS discs.

Given the choice I'd go for a pair of Zimmerman discs at £835 delivered.

I ordered some low dust front pads for my E63 from Autodoc back in June. They took around 8 days to deliver. No problems other than that.

Ok thanks I’ll look at the zimmerman discs ......do they do the pads and sensors etc?. That’s funny I’ve always thought my discs and pads give off loads of brake dust!.

Thanks for the reply.......that’s not a bad price either!. I was told by the merc specialist I use that brembo didn’t do one for the pp c63.

I bought these TRW low dust front pads from Autodoc for £70

This seller is in the UK so I'd pay the extra £10 for that.

They are the same pads for a 08> C63

I have a spare sensor if you need one. They are about a fiver from Autodoc.

Good price and nice link. Thanks.
Same discs for my /14 E63

I remember searching for them when I had my PPP wagon, Newcastle MB were pretty keenly priced as well.

Yeah! I was told they were pretty good. Must admit the Brembos fit the colour scheme on my car though lol. I have black hubs 😂. Cheers pal👍

The same Brembo discs are also available on the Autodoc website for little less but do not come up when searched via the latest MB part number.

Cheers buddy I’m just doing a bit of searching now lol

Just to bump this, I am quoted £1750 for replacement (cracking discs) discks and pads for a 2010 PPP. No split parts and labour. What is the latest best solution ? From the video I was sent I have the third option (on the thread, shown with red calipers) composite discs

I think some of the early C63 cars were fitted with a solid disc.
This is the same size disc as used on later C63 and E63 cars as linked to earlier in the thread.

But the solid disc can be had for buttons with Autodoc revealing prices of ranging between £36 to £100 per disc. Yes, per disc.

Which then begs the question why the E63 is fitted with this faux non floating but to all other intensive purposes, solid construction front disc.

Go with these. This is equivalent to the early pp floating 2 piece. Well worth it!

Thank you. I have seen Mercedes Edinburgh doing discs and pads on ebay for 970 . These Brembo items are £100 cheaper still and obviously same product. Will get a specialist to fit, a big saving on the main dealer price.
