Hi, I thought I’d start off in here as i have only just joined after a recent Mercedes purchase.
I’m from Aberdeen, and this is my first Mercedes, if you can excuse a Vito V6 that I had a fleeting fling with last year. I have wanted one of these cars since 2013, however when I went to buy one back then I couldn’t afford a facelift, hated the pre FL interior so settled for an E90 M3
Fast forward to last month and I looked at various cars, with a somewhat limited budget, I found this one. A basic car, but it was a late one with low owners, FSH, Michelin tyres and priced the same as a 2009 locally. It was worth a look Despite being 520 miles away.
It checked out fine, it wasn’t perfect but its 5 years newer for the same money Than the one on my doorstep.
I’ve had the awful silver wheels refurbished to original finish, fitted two new rear Michelins, new OEM centre caps and given it a thorough clean throughout.
I have added some pictures below of the first of many visits to the petrol pump, As it sat when I got it, with my wife’s pride and joy, my son, and how it looks now.
I plan to refurbish the exhaust tips, and make it as nice as possible. No plans for any remaps, cat deletes etc, just keep it as it is
