How was I being harsh or talking the OP down? I simply answered their question as it was asked - suggesting somewhere to buy a standard grille. If they want a less costly alternative that's fine, I've no issue with that - but if they'd said that in the initial post I wouldn't have suggested a main dealer or the website I also linked to!Harsh.....he clearly meant he wanted one that looks like the original for a sensible price....not necessarily the genuine article. Many replicas parts are more than good enough quality for a daily driven/non show quality car, especially as Mercedes don't make many parts...they assemble cars. Not everyone runs to the main dealer for all work and every part......most are not that gullible.....and many earlier Mercedes owners are not monied classic Black Series or brand new AMG owners. Talking down to people is not needed....or nice.
