W204 C63
Guys i've done a bit of searching but needing a bit of clarification.
I have a 2008 W204 C63 and i'm wanting an Ipod / Iphone interface for it as unfortunately it did not come with it.

I was looking at the below kit, is this plug and play and genuine MB? No tapping into + / switched + ect?
https://www.commandonline.co.uk/mb_ipod_ntg4_W204-W212-W207-GLK.html

Also from reading i will need the below amplifier?
https://www.commandonline.co.uk/ipod-amplifier.html

I have an Iphone 6+ at the moment, will the above kit work with my phone if i get a 30 pin to lightning adaptor?

Also it's very annoying that i can't have my address book from my phone on the car, i was looking at this; https://www.commandonline.co.uk/Mercedes_Bluetooth_HFP.html
It seems a lot of money just to pair my address book from my phone with my car. Are there any other options out there? Also will this cause any interference with with the ipod / iphone interface?

Thanks in advance.

Check the roof of your glovebox got the media interface. If not then check to the left side as you may have just an aux connector

Then I wouldn't waste the time or money upgrading to the media interface and go with an aftermarket head unit with CarPlay

The trouble with fitting an aftermarket unit is the shape/display in the car especially if you have the switch pack below the COMAND. There is a fascia adapter kit that moves the switch pack up to where the screen is and then adapts the hole where the stereo is now for a double din unit - but looks very odd in my opinion.

If you stick with genuine Mercedes, You have 2 options, iPod kit (which you post a link to) which allows track name and control from the steering wheel and instrument cluster (audio system just gets put in AUX mode) - you need the 12 button steering wheel. This is plug and play on a W204. Or the integrated Media Interface which is much nicer but more expensive and everything shown on the COMAND itself.

Yes, your system only supports one of the methods of phone book address transfer and it is not the one that the iPhone supports :-( *if* your car has the optional comfort phone (with a connector in the centre armrest) then you can add a Bluetooth Adapter such as the HFP that you have linked to and that will then pair with your phone and support address book transfer.

I hope that helps

Richard
