W204 Door Card Top Section

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience of removing and replacing the top section of the interior driver’s side door card? I have a bit of damage that I’d like to get sorted, but don’t want to pay the extremely high price MB charge for a complete door card.

There must be a way, but I’ve had no luck with any videos or tutorials.

The door card is in one piece and bloody expensive to replace.

Have done both release handles on the front doors of my S204 and it took hours.

Not aware that you can replace just the top moulding - best bet may be to source a second-hand card.

Am sure someone will put me right if there is a work around.

I really don’t want to fork out loads of money for the door card but I feel it’s my only option, but if there is a way of just replacing the top section, that would be great!

I have. They quoted me nearly the price of a new door card.

Looks like a lot of plastic welds and rivets and the outer covering does seem to be one piece
