Car is a 2011 W204 with OM651.
Having some trouble with my left daylight running light. Getting the warning when turning the car on. Initially thought it just needed a new DRL unit so ordered a pair to match up the colour. Fitted the right one, fine no problems. Left one no illumination so thought I’d test the wiring to try and solve the issue.
I’ve now narrowed it down to a bad power wire as I’m getting 12v without load. As soon as the DRL is connected voltage drops to around 5v. Tested the ground and that’s fine but when drop testing the green (power) wire I’m getting a big voltage drop.
My main question is, has anyone traced these wires back to the SAM before or has any info on the routing? I can follow it for about 10cm before it disappears into the body of the car.
