Hi all, hoping someone can shed some light on this...

The front left on my cdi220 wore so bad on the outside edge i had to get new tyres, it was also pulling to the left - its still pulling to the left but not as bad with these new tyres, coincidence or?

Anyway, i got it checked at a tyre place - they said the camber is failing on the front left, it doesnt look too good on the rear left either?

ive included the printout here

The tyre guy reckons theres no adjustment for camber on this car? So im taking it to my local mechanic next week to see if he can spot anything - i really dont want to take it to Mercedes unless i have to as theyll more than likely charge an arm and a leg....

the thing that worries me now is if it has got a bash on the passenger side or something, i only have it a few months :(

thanks

Of course there is adjustment on your car!! Get it to a reputable alignment specialist and have the geometry properly measured.

The camber and castor is adjustable..... Looking at the numbers i think the badly worn tyre is the reason for the pull.

thanks all - i just got off the phone with an alignment specialist, hes going to take a look at it tomorrow....

So got the other guy to look at the car- did all the alignment checks with laser machines and what-not

Think he said the toe was out on the rear passenger side wheel, which was also wearing on the very inside of the tyre - he concluded this would lead to the front left wearing as it was pushing the car out of line or something - anyway he made some adjustments, so ill wait and see how the tyre wears

Also the rear driver side tyre - he reckoned is a dual-compound tyre and this is also wearing more on the inside that outside - i will be replacing both of them soon as they are pretty much gone

The NSF castor is way to high. It will allow the NSF camber to migrate to far on a left lock..... Have a look for yourself, put it on full left lock and look how far the wheel is leaning.

heres the results from the 2nd guy i went to, the castor angle seems better in this one?

Not sure where you are mossy, but make the trip, go and spend some money with wheels in motion. The print out will be green and the bill will be very reasonable, and you will get to meet some real experts.

I can recommend without hesitation.

Mossy, did you ever resolve this issue? It seems I have the same problem. Dont want to throw money at the issue until I know what it is.

Want to resolve asap as Ive just put on a new set of boots and I am due to drive 2000 miles across Europe.
