Have a 2012 mercedes w204 c250 cdi. I'm based in ireland. while back a CD got stuck in head unit in dash. It's a 6 stack . A warning was displayed device currently unavailable and a beep intermittently beeped Evey 15 seconds whether radio was on or off. Bought a replacement one of eBay before Xmas. Wrong connections at back won't work. 200 down the drain. Got another one of prestige allparts LTD. Got independent specialist to fit today. It is the right radio but now coming up with anti theft protected and won't work at all. Seems it needs some anti theft pin. Mercedes Sligo here in Ireland said they haven't seen it on a car only on older models but bear in mind they're only open 3 yrs.

Has anyone an idea how I get a pin or advice at all. Car is booked into Mercedes but nearest appointment is the 28th. I'm at the end of my wits with this radio lol

The Audio20 is coded to the original car's VIN.

Ideally the anti theft protection should have been disabled on the donor car before removal of the unit.

I am not sure what can be done at this stage... perhaps Alfie or Richard who know about these things will view this thread and confirm if the dealer can do anything with STAR (i.e. code the Audio20 to the car), or if it is in fact now bricked.
