W204 Intake Manifold Replacement

I have a Mercedes C250 estate (2011) When I exceed certain revs the engine warning light goes on and the car looses power and goes into Limp Home. I've had diagnostics done, they showed a problem with DPF (had cleaned) pressure sensor (had replaced) but the problem persists. A garage has told me they suspect that the intake manifold has a hole or is warped. How much would it get to have this replaced and can anyone recommend a good place to have this done in West London. Also, does it make it cheaper if I supply parts myself? Thanks!

Is this all coming from a Mercedes Specialist with Star diagnostics buddy ?

Hey W1ghty - thanks a Mercedes specialist yes. Not sure if they have Star, but assume they do. I was told there was air leakage seen at the manifold which is why they are suggesting this fix.

If they are an MB specialist and you trust them , I would suggest you ask them about you buying the parts yourself . Some places aren’t keen on that in case they are faulty or not up to scratch .
However buying parts from MB Grangemouth with a forum discount may well get you parts cheaper .
