I’ve a facelift W204 diesel and last night on the motorway I pulled out to overtake, when I put my foot down there was no boost and I was capped at 3000rpm.
Luckily I had my icarsoft v3 on my and was able to do a quick scan, no lights were on the dash and I had to you the manual gears because to auto had stopped responding, the codes it threw up are…
P246309 The soot content of the diesel particulate filter is ok, there is a component fault
P024872 Output 2 for the low pressure turbocharger has a malfunction . The actuator does not close.
After clearing the codes the car worked and I got ok although it feels a little rough.
Today I went out in the car viewing live data and to my surprise it started a dpf regen on its own taking the fill level from 195% to 24% so I was happy about that but looking at the data I noticed the Y27/9 exhaust gas recirculation actuator never drops below 49% and seems to be sticking around 50% but under load does jump up to 121% but then back to 50%, is the normal or strange.
