Replacing my headlight bulbs with Osram silverstar H7's

Dipped beams have simple wire retaining clips so no problem.

Main beam H7's have a different method of retention. The manual says Push down the lamp on the connector until it is released.

Does that mean push inwards towards the reflector - surely not

or

Push down to twist the bulb on it's axis - seems more likely but I don't want to break anything

I think it's straight pull back towards the engine, and a bit of a sod getting the replacement bulb correctly lined up when you push it in. Good luck! Not 100% sure, as it's quite a while since I swopped my bulbs for nightbreakers.

It basically tilts and then pops out past the tab. It can be a bit stiff and you feel like you're going to break something.

It is a little strange that it's not secured with a clip like the dipped.

Thanks. I'll try a bit more pressure then.
