W204 Parking sensor question

Hi all,

Looking for some assistance . Sorry if it's a daft question, I'm new to the MB world.....

I'm going to view a 2008 C320 CDI sport this week. I can see from some photos that there are parking sensors in the rear bumper, but the front doesn't appear to have any (there are no holes, it's just totally smooth). Should there be front sensors too? Or could you specify just the rears? It doesn't look as if the warning light-bar is present on the dash either.

Have you got a link to the ad, I think these will be aftermarket sensors then as the factory PDC is front and rear normally.

Although there’s nothing bad about aftermarket sensors either

Can’t see parktronic being listed so it must be aftermarket. Not a big deal in my opinion, as only rear sensors are really needed.. I’d go and see the car anyway.

the seller trades in cars , so i wouldnt think they know that much about this particular cars history tbh. it did 27,500 miles in a year last year , unless its their car , which it may well be ?? good luck on what you decide ..

That's great, thank you both for your help! I hadn't noticed the high mileage last year, well spotted. The car looks to be in pretty good condition and as long as it's been well maintained I don't think it should be a major issue?

I'll go and see the car and see what I think. To be honest, the after market PDC isn't an issue, I just wanted to be sure about what I was looking at.

If I buy the car, I''ll start a proper thread in another part of the forum, I don't want to spam the bodywork section too much

Yes the mileage would not put me off in the slightest. It’s really not an issue. As long as the car has been serviced, see how it drives. There are lots of cars with low mileage which are in worse condition than ones with 200k.
