Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a lip spoiler preferable from someone who has bought one I'm after the same look as a sports plus model
I keep coming up with eBay but just to many at different prices? Some seem to cheap? And most from China?

Will be keeping a watch on this thread as I am also interested in the same thing.

I bought one from ebay for my W204 sport >> FAST SHIP! Painted Mercedes Benz W204 A Type C230 C240 C350 Trunk Spoiler 197 ? | eBay

Paint was spot on and fitment was also spot on. Will post some pics tonight if I get a chance. Paid $88 (dollars) inc shipping. Took 3 days to arrive. Was prepared and happy to pay any import tax but not had anything yet (touch wood)...been around a month now.

Came with cleaning solution, and 3M tape etc.

Weird thing was they had a listing for the same spoiler in £'s for around £70ish but if you buy the $ listing it was $88...even after a currency handling fee from credit card (£1.50ish), it worked out a lot cheaper.

Does this come pre-curved to match the lid or straight and you need to form it around the curve yourself?

That looks really good and is exactly what I am after, only in white!

Paid £27 for my more generic version which I am quite pleased with but for £50ish I'm tempted. And only three days delivery?

Gary - I'm sure they do all the colours, just get your paint code and email them to make sure.

Chris - when I said 3 days, what I should have said was 3 working days...ordered on Thurs, received following Tuesday (bearing in mind this was Easter so had Good Friday and Monday bank holiday in between)...still not bad.

I have no qualms about colour match, my £27 Taiwanese one matches perfectly but took a month to arrive so 3 or 4 days seems very impressive.

I've had a quick look at more items from the same seller and it looks like you must of got a really good deal with it being in $ as they only seem to list them in pounds now at £80 :(

i've just had a look, the USD listings are still there (for c207 spoilers)

I also purchased the eBay one from Taiwan.

The quality of the spoiler is as good as the OEM
The fit is spot on and the paint is really good quality and great match.

£80 PAINTED AND DELIVERED, Genuine OEM is around £300 plus £100 for painting.

Comes with 3m tape to fit as just sticks on and is solid and what a difference to the look of the rear end.

Mines just turned up from Taiwan, looks good! But haven't fitted it yet...

Has anyone got the link on how to fit? As I know it's a case of heating up and then working it around the boot lid.

Thanks

There was a link somewhere but I don't have it. But it is very easy to apply (well mine was). What I did was...

1) wash boot lid

2) place spoiler on boot lid to ensure correct fit and get an idea of how much space to leave on each side so its equal

3) clean edge of boot lid where spoiler will go with alcohol wipe (supplied with my spoiler)

4) clean underside of spoiler with alcohol liquid and cotton buds (tube of some kind of liquid supplied with spoiler to help 3m tape adhesion)

5) stick 2 lines of 3m tape on underside of spoiler (roll of 3m supplied with spoiler)

6) peel the backing tape off a couple of inches from one side and carefully stick onto the boot lid ensuring correct position (keep a hold of the backing tape as you will need to pull it as you stick the remaining part of the spoiler)

7) now peel the remaining tape whilst applying pressure on the spoiler on both the top and back edge and continue doing this until all the backing tape has come off and spoiler is stuck down.

Depending on type of spoiler and supplier, it may need heating ??? best thing is do a dry fit and place it on the boot lid and see how it fits. if it doesn't match, you may need to heat it?
