Hi, I own a W204 2007 C220 Sport. The left hand rear wheel bearing is worn causing a loud rumble at speeds above 25mph. I noticed you can get a bearing kit for these with 4 bolts that bolt the bearing to the hub.

Are these easy to do. Can you do it without removing the drive shaft.

I have done wheel bearings on other cars , last one was a front bearing on an Audi A3 and seemed easy enough.

Done a search but nobody has mentioned these.

Any help would be appreciated

Hasn't anyone done a rear wheel bearing on a W204. Any help appreciated

Specialist job that needs pullers and a high pressure press, not readily available to DIYers! Are you sure it's a rear bearing that's causing the noise as not usually a problem on the 204s as far as I know. Somebody with more knowledge may respond to the bump, though.

Definitely wheel bearing. Tried swapping back wheels over and noise still from left rear. Loud humm increases with speed.

Do you need press if it's a bolt on bearing kit. Looks like all you need to do is pull off disk and drive plate then unbolt bearing from hub. Could be wrong that's why I'm checking on here.

Got the same issue at the mo with my 124.
For some reason i can't get the rear bearings from GSF or Euro, only front ones. Why? I dont know.
Did the front last year , no problem.
They've done 216k miles (-: therefore they are excused for giving up now .
