W204 seats

Hi, I have a problem with the drivers heated seat failing to heat the base, the seat back is OK.

Mercedes quote over £500 for a replacement seat base.

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions before I get my wallet out.

You could fit an aftermarket heat pad and wire it into the MB connector?

I had after market seat heaters fitted to the rear of my 203, IIRC was only £120 for the two..
