W204 sport drivers door handle

My interior handle snapped last night managed to do a temp fix with drilling a hole in the handle and a cable tie but would like a new handle

Don't want to induce too much of a sinking feeling, but I remember from when I took my door panels off, I don't think it's replaceable on it's own, and also searches around the net seem to back me up. I think you need a new door panel which is a bit spendy.

So if I was to get a handle there is no way it can be swapped over? Just been quoted £120 for a 2nd hand door card but I do have extended warranty so the £100 excess could be the way to go

Impossible to replace, new door panel.

what a poor design well as its 'fixed' for the time being I will leave it alone. Am looking at making a metal cover that will pop over the arm and then you just pop rivet it on.
