Hi All,

Not sure if this true or not, even common knowledge or not...........

Been to see my MB dealer today as I wanted to make a warranty claim on my o/s/r alloy.

It has started blister underneath the lacquer on the diamond cut face, a not uncommon problem I know.

But the warranty guy didn't quibble at all and said yes, it will be a warranty case 100%.

The alloy type on my C220 AMG Sport Plus2012 will be on back order for around 6-8 weeks............. because MB do not sell or fit that wheel anymore due to the number of problems they've had.

Seems like these wheels will become quite expensive on the second hand market if you have to buy a replacement

Have ordered a new C250 for September, flagged all four of my wheels having the same problem as this when presenting my car for px appraisal. Photos taken and over to MB to authorise under warranty.

I wish I could find some similar damage on mine..... :( 2 of them suffered at the hands of potholes, and another argued with a kerb.... :( :(

Sadly Chrisbin the damage you've suffered voids replacement under warranty :(
I bad 3 replaced and the 4th rejected as it had been kerbed and repaired by the MB dealer even though the lacquer deterioration was nowhere near the repair!
