First post here, so hi and great to be here :)

The reason for my post is because I have a question regarding the exterior trim directly below the Windscreen/windshield on my 2012 W204 CD220. I've recently had my windscreen replaced and have noticed that the trim does not sit flush against the edge of the glass.

As I have a high degree of OCD regarding my vehicles, I am now worried that water (albeit rain, or from washing the car) will seep into the area and cause rust/damage.

A friend did attempt to make it flush, but apparently the more he pushed down to click it, the lower it became.

Should this be flush or is just an asthetic thing?

Many thanks

Dom

Hi welcome to the forum. Just been out & looked at my 2012 W204 & it looks just the same as your photos. Mine still has the original windscreen so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Hi, just checked mine also a 2009 model, looks pretty much the same as yours.

i will need one soon and thats why i keep putting it off

Many thanks for the replies :)

I'm just wondering if I could you some kind of plastic sealant? If anybody has any ideas of what might work, that would be great

Thanks

Dom
