I have a 2014 c220 W204 and went to replace the wiper blades.

The replacement blades I bought match those shown in the Owner’s Handbook but the fitment on both the blade and the fitment where the arm fits to the blade on the car at present are different and the new blades won’t fit. I can’t recall if these are still the original blades or not but they are genuine Mercedes parts.

on line the replacement blades are shown everywhere as being the correct ones for my car and am a bit of a loss.

Do the black plastic adapters on the new blades not slide in to the chanel on the arm?

Sometimes blades come with a few different adapters.

So, what do the ones you've bought look like?

I had the same issue with my 2012 W204. The MB wiper blades said on the pack that they were the correct ones for my particular car, but the fitting to the arm was different. The previous blades were fitted during an MB service.

I finished up just replacing the rubber blades with their coloured wear indicators.

I later found alternative MB blades that were also described on the pack as being the correct ones for my car. Other than the part number, there was nothing on the packs to differentiate them. Only by opening the box and looking at the arm fitment could you tell which one to use.

The fittings were changed from 11/2012 onwards. I.e. not all face-lift W204s (2010-2014) have the same fittings.

You need one of these:

MB: A 212 820 18 00

Bosch AeroTwin: A 826 S / 3 397 009 826

Thanks for all your replies and apologies as I put the wrong model number down. It’s actually a W205 (not W204).

Photo below is the correct blade according to all the internet guidance and the owner’s manual. In Bosch it’s an A844S.

I did wonder how you’d managed to get a 2014 W204, but chose not to question you.

Agreed. That’s the one I was incorrectly provided with for my March 2012 W204. (The correct one was A 204 820 23 00)

There are a few; I think the coupe ran a bit longer than the saloons and wagons.
