W205 2015 CarPlay module help

Hi, I posted on another thread and a chap was helpful but didn’t want to keep posting on someone else’s thread!

Purchased this module and I got it all connected. CarPlay was working fine, but the car itself was playing up. Had no steering wheel controls, buttons just didn’t work, and I was getting warning lights and a red battery warning. I could start the car, but the dials etc were just laggy, not really working correctly…..I have uninstalled it now, car is back to normal and is operating fine. Was thinking there must have been something wrong with the dialthe code?

Any help would be appreciated…

Try holding the unit upside down. I think you got the dipswitch right-to-left instead of left-to-right.

I.e., on the printed instructions, dip switch no 8 is on the left, and no 1 is on the right.

So you should have no 1 and no 5 on the unit in the ON position (and not 4 and 8 as it is showing in your photo).

Ah, would the CarPlay still operate if it was wrong?
I will have a play next week as doesn’t take long to install now I know how to do it!

Hey, you were spot on! I have got it working, but the screen seems to be zoomed in….not sure how to sort, but I have asked the retailer.

I'm having the exact same problem you did so going to try the suggested fix tomorrow. Did you ever fix the screen being zoomed in?
