W205 C250d 4matic estate
Hi all,

I've never had difficulty finding suspension to fit any car iv ever had, but I am now for the first time.

I have a w205 c class estate, that is 4matic.

Are there coilovers out there to fit? What is the main difference between estate/non estate suspension or is the issue the 4matic?

I would consider fixed springs but I'm very specific about what stance I'd like.

Do you have airmatic? Air suspension front and rear, or just on the rear only?

I don't beleive I have air suspension at all.

I've got air suspension (airmatic) front and rear.
I thought most of the estates had air on the rear only at least to enable self levelling?

Maybe depends on the year, mine is 2016/17 model.

I’d be surprised if KW don’t make something for this car

Ah I see, maybe I do then. Il take the wheels off and have a look around. I know I don't have air on the front. If that's the case and I do have self leveling on the rear and fixed on the front, is there a solution?

I know cars with full air it's as easy as changing the links, so could I change to shorter links on the back and coilover units on the front?

I don’t think you will have air suspension on your S205 C-class, it was an option and I think if you have it, it would be on air all round.

E-class estates have self-levelling rear suspension - going back to the old days, not sure about the latest models but certainly for the last 30/40 years :thumb:

Looks like I have normal shocks and springs. Checked out kW website, I usually pay around £500 for coilovers but these are like £2500...

£500 coil overs will be terrible on a MB. You get what you pay for and the KW are top notch.

I had a set of cheapo coil overs on my Golf VR6 and they lasted 3 months before leaking and the ride was horrific.

I have a KW v3 set on my SLK55, and honestly it’s a night and day difference. They are incredible. KW made the suspension for the CLK Black Series if I remember correctly. They aren’t cheap, but definitely worth the expense
