W205 Ambient Lighting above Glovebox

Should there be ambient lighting above the glovebox on the W205? From the pic on the menu is looks like there should be, however there isn't on mine - the silver plastic just reflects the light from the centre console and door lights a tiny bit. There's certainly no strip light as the diagram shows.

You would think looking at the picture it should have lighting there, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen any on the c class. On the s class I’m sure it does.
I could be wrong though but I can see why you asked[emoji4]

Just checked mine which is very similar to the C Class. It has lighting along all four doors and round the centre console but nothing above the glove box.

Must be a generic image they've used then. A bit shoddy doing that, but at least it's not my car that's broke!

I looked under the top of the glove box and it looks like a led strip could be fitted after market, as there’s a black plastic strip... looks like it shouldn’t be to hard to sort.

I'm not bothered about it really (certainly not enough to retro-fit), it was more just because the image showed it, so I didn't know whether it was an issue with mine.

I’m still going to have a look at putting an led strip there... I have a plan[emoji851][emoji85]
