W205 ambient lighting

Hi I’ve recently purchased a 2015 w205 premium amg line... I was changing the brushed aluminium inner door trims to the black ash effect ones and found that on the original rear door aluminium trims only one side had the ambient lighting the o/s behind drivers seat. The passenger side has no ambient light fitted can’t
Understand that one ? The new black ash ones have ambient lighting on both rear door trims

Haven’t a clue how that got on there but an old closed foreign account details

Could the rear door have been repaired or replaced in the past?

You may need to fabricate a wiring loom from the trim bit to the door control module.

I believe that the ambient light feature is activated on the SAM for all doors, so unlikely that it won't be activated also of that door.

You can check on iCarsoft, if I am right then you should get an error on rear left ambient light.

Yeah I also think the door has been repaired in the past otherwise it doesn’t make sense why it isn’t on one of the doors
