C300h Estate
Hi all,

Not sure I'm going to be using the right terminology, but here goes. I've got a 2015 C300h estate and one of my gripes with it is that when I pull the boot cover over the boot it will unhook itself and move to the raised position as soon as I drive over anything bumpy. With the cover in the raised position I can see stuff all through the rear view mirror. It may be the case that the catch holding it in place is knackered, but thought I'd ask here first.

Anyone else have the same issue and solved it?

Cheers ws

My old 2015 C220d estate would do this sometimes. It was a company car and the boot was always full of tools and parts, etc. I found that unless the end of the cover was pointing down then it would ping up over a bump like yours does and then you can't see out of the rear view mirror.

In my case it was sometimes that I had a little bit too much stuff in the boot and the cover 'end' would be more horizontal. I have a saloon now, so can't check, but I think there is a sort of recess that the cover ends need to lock into. Maybe this bit is worn or the matching ends on the cover itself?
