I don't quite understand this new screen stuck on top of the dash idea, it looks like an aftermarket add on.

They're copying BMW. Likewise with the wood - check out some of BMWs 'modern' specced 3 series before the M Sports arrived.

Few designs age well, we will just have to see what the near future holds. I think the folding screens (as in my c63) are a bit 90s and gimmicky now especially as mine is always switched on.

Might be a detachable Android tablet...?

Happy days, no more paying ££££ for COMAND option. ;)

Didn't Volvo start this?

Hey everyone, just wanted to know your thoughts on the news Mercedes C-Class presented at Detroit Auto Show! Isn't that a true beauty?

Thanks KillerHERTZ! I was unable to find a related thread.

Happy older gentleman thinks he's in the new 2014 Rover 75.

The angles and proportions of the centre console look fine compared with the W204 - but the actual design of the things placed on it combined with what looks like an aftermarket display screen ? Tacky.

BMW also place the screen in a sort of stuck on style rather than fully integrated but don't make anything like such a hash of it.

It's also proof against the "Borg Collective" judging from the piccy! How long before Dieterus of Borg begins hearing the " voices"

/\ is the above confirmed UK engine range?

Would be very surprised if the UK got a V6 petrol but not a V6 diesel...

Nope. That's all engines, I'll post UK specs when available

There is an app called MB guide covering models and the new W205 is on that if anyone's interested. Came across it looking for something else.

Like the body lines, unsure about the cabin yet till I see one but it ain't going to be cheap. The mpg for the 220 I just do not believe, no I don't actually believe lol

Finally a good looking C-class. Front of an E class (with a hint of CLA) and rear of an S class. And an interior with a well balanced classic-modern look (especially the aircon vents). The increase in electronics is a bit worrying because there is more stuff that could potentially go wrong.

Finally a car that I can drive without having to worry that people might think I borrowed it from my dad.;)
