W205 - chattering wiper blades?

Whilst driving home from work I noticed a slight rattling noise, after further investigation I believe it is the wiper bladers chattering against the windscreen. When I use the wipers the noise stops but then starts again when the wipers come to rest. I actually noticed this earlier in the year but the problem went away once the temperature had risen, now that it is dropping again the noise has come back which makes me believe it is temperature related. I've previously cleaned the wipers and windscreen and the wear indicator on the blades show that they are not overly worn. Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this on their C Class? I'm thinking of potentially swapping the wiper blades to see if that makes a difference.

Have no such problem with mine. Are they parking in the correct position?

Mine are the same drives me mad never had it before. The blades are new MB but makes no difference at all. I'd love to know a solution, I've tried everything.

My W205 had the same problem throughout my ownership. I had MB change the blades at 1st service and I subsequently changed them again myself with MB original parts. I cleaned the screen with various quality auto cleaning products and nothing made a difference unfortunately. The only thing I did not do, in hindsight, was clay bar the screen.

Try changing the wiper arms.

I don't know if this still applies, given the modern design of blades, arms etc, but way back when, juddering was often an issue. Advice then was to stop the arms mid sweep (a simple operation in those days:)), remove the blades and check that the tip of each arm was flat against the windscreen. What you often found was that the arm would be twisted at a slight angle which would cause the blade to dig in or drag slightly, enough to cause a judder or squeak, respectively.

The fix was to use a couple of pairs of pliers to "adjust" the tip of the arms to align them with the screen. As I said, modern design may mean this is no longer valid but you never know (or maybe more knowledgeable folk may be along to shoot me down:D).

I think the key point here is that the OP's wipers are rattling when driving with them in the parked position, and don't rattle whilst they're in use.

That's a valid point, sloppy reading on my part. Apologies to the OP for time-wasting with useless irrelevant information.
