w205 Estate - 350d

Hi MBClub!

Really miss the fact Mercedes Benz didn't offer a 350d engine in the W205 more particularly the estate. I was really looking forward to it and this was the eventual reason why I had to move away from Mercedes Benz this time. An F31 335d x drive was way more appealing to me this time.

Tried the C43 - but this wouldn't have been very sensible with the miles i'm doing. C250d .. i've driven them for 9 years and got a bit bored. I guess the only thing I could have done to keep me entertained would have been a remap ... but just felt wrong to do it.

Anyone else had similar a similar experience ?

I too would have liked the option to pick up a V6 diesel (drove an E350 CDI that we had on test a number of times and thought the engine was pretty good), but alas not an option. I do like our C250d though and prefer the Mercedes to BMWs I've driven in the past, including a 335d and a 535d (no idea on which series they were).

Had a w205 Premium plus 4matic night edition, fully loaded and tweaked to look like a C43. Loved it. It was remapped and compared favorably with my mate std 330d xdrive performance wise.

I got this whilst looking at performance edition 335ds which started to look a bit chavy and they were appearing everywhere. Plus the interiors blew the 335d out of the water. One of only 5 cars in the UK.

Replaced by the AMG A35.
