W205 Garmin Map Pilot Update V12

Hi guys,

Im looking to investigate if i have the most recent garmin map software update. Before taking delivery of our approved used C class MY16 AMG premium I asked the dealer to update the navi software as the old garmin ui was just horrible compared to the new one.

In the nav settings under maps data it says 2015/2016 Europe V5.0. So i decided to check for an update in MB downlod manager. It states there are no available updates and that V12 is installed but the maps are still 2015/2016 V5.0. Does this mean my ui is only updated and Im stilling running old map data?

You need a new SD card if you want to update the maps, all you have updated is the operating software. No other way.

The latest maps are V12 (2019/2020). You get 60 days to update via download manager once you activate a new sd card. Many sellers on ebay for about 50 quid. If you have "Tomtom live traffic" on your car, then make sure the card you buy includes this subscription for 3 years, price is then 99 quid.
