Hello, please read carefully, I have a W205 with automatic seats with memory on the doors, the car is fully loaded premium plus 2016 C350e, I know that some E class models there is an L button that gives you full access to the passenger seat, the configuration of the seats and buttons is identical between the two models W205 and W213.
I initially thought that if i replace the switch that has the seat heating with the one that also has the L button, it would give me access to the passenger seat, so I replace that and it didn't work, basically the seat heating works but the L button doesn't light up at all, so I thought I also had to change the modules in both front doors, which i did, but at that moment the car started to go crazy, like opening and closing the boot, like locking and unlocking the doors, and so on..
My question now is, where did I go wrong? Can the original module on the W205 be coded somehow to accept the L button? or is it possible that the module from the E class W213 can somehow be recoded to be accepted on the W205? Is there anyone here who has tried this?
Thank you in advance

Welcome.

I don't know the answer to your question, but on a general note:

The various modules fitted to the car talk to the SAM via CANBUS. This means that it isn't the modules themselves that need reprogramming, the the SAm unit that they are connected to.

Programming a SAM when retrofitting a factory option is a two stage process.

Firstly, the SAM needs to know what options the car is fitted with - this is done by connecting the car to the Mercedes Benz central computer via MB STAR diagnostic computer. The Datacard for the car is then updated with the added option in a process called SCN coding. The new configuration is then downloaded back to the car and this is how the SAM 'knows' that an optional feature has been retrofitted.

Then, for options that are already present in the car, the MB STAR computer can be used to enable, disable, or adjust certain features.

The issue is that IF an option has been retrofitted, and IF this option was never available from the factory for the specific model (e.g. trying to retrofit to a C-Class an E-Class option that was never available for the C-Class), then updating the Datacard won't be possible, and the SAM cannot be updated to know about the retrofit.

More specifically for your situation, I'd go to a specialist who has STAR to see what configuration options are available for the seat modules on your car - but, it may be the case that the configuration that you are after is not possible because the C-Class never had this particular option.

Hope this helps.
