Hi all,

I have recently purchased a 2015 C220D and the "back" button on the steering is really stiff the first time it's pressed after a while of not being used.

It works, but needs a really hard press to engage.

Once that's done it works better, but still not as free as the other buttons.

If I don't press it for a while, it becomes stiff once again

Any tips for fixing it?

TIA

Try a small squirt of wd40, safe on electrical contacts.

As above. Other than that, the airbag will need to come-off as well as the steering wheel trim in order to get this sorted.

ouch 😬

I'll give wd40 a try🤞

thanks both, I'll let you know how I get on

Finally got round to this!

Noticed an immediate improvement - button now smooth and clicky, the same as all the others

Will wait a couple of days to make sure it stays that way :)

Thanks again!
