My washer jets are not squirting properly. They initially squirt like a 18 year old on a cheerleader then they look like they could do with a viagra.

Any ideas before I attempt DIY or speak to a main stealer.

Oh it's been in the garage so it's not frozen. It did happen after I refilled it with neat screen wash.

Did you mix wash brands? This can sometimes cause a sludge to form blocking the pump and/or pipework.

Neat screen wash is your answer. Clogs up the pipes and the motor cant flush it through. BMW always had the problem and they specified there own washer fluid but it was all a load of tosh , people were putting neat screen wash in and the pipes and pump sludge up. Gonna be a ball ache cleaning it all out but i'd suggest putting clean water through the system if u can get it thru.

well, heres a story that might help.
My ML270 developed what i called dribbling washers, it only just reached the screen, i thought the washers were knackered so thought about buying new, then found out they are £57 each !!, and theres three !!!!. I was not going to spend that. So took out the washers and blew them through with a garden hose, they seemed fine, disconnected the feed from pump, it was pushing out loads of water, removed the one way valve, put it all back together and, just as bad !.
So i wondered if the pump had volume but no pressure, fitted new pump, and, still the same. I took the whole lot apart again, blew out all the hoses with garden hose, blew the jets out again, all back together and, the same.
I then had a LIGHT BULB MOMENT, when i washed the screen, water only just about came out of the washer jets, but there was loads of water coming out of the scuttle, and the washer tank emptied pretty quick. So, i managed to disconnect the pipe from left hand washer (they are pretty well concealed under the scuttle trim) and then off the middle washer, fitted a bit of hose i had in the shed, and...... perfect, best they have ever been. Tucked the new pipe in as best i could, will have to strip scuttle off in the summer and do properly. The pipe was split under the scuttle panel, it must have been happening slowly and getting bigger as performance just started going down hill on the washers.
Might have nothing to do with your problem, but a garden hose does seem to prove if the washers and pipes are clear.

Mercedes cleaned mine out and changed one of the jets all under warranty. Car is 2.5 years old.

They broke a pipe in the process but loaned me an E300 coupe for the weekend
