Hi All,

I’ve started noticing a problem with my driver side window. Whenever I attempt to close the window it opens halfway, after 3 attempts and holding it up it closes. I really hope someone can give me a solution to this problem. I did solve it couple weeks ago, however, the issue started again and I can’t seem to fix it. I have tried to reset it and hold it for 10-20 seconds but it doesn’t work. To show the problem I have uploaded a YouTube video where you can see the issue so it‘s easier to understand what is going on. I hope someone can help me with this issue as it’s really annoying and jarring.

Is there anything in the gap in the top part. It looks like it's doing what it normally does if fingers or a hand gets trapped. I had similar issues when I installed deflectors to mine. Sorry I can't be more help, but worth checking.

I have checked everything and it’s driving me nuts!!! I just don’t understand the issue and it’s really annoying.

Could just be some resistance in the tracks fooling the motor that something is obstructing the window. You could try some silicone spray in the channels either side while the window is open, see if that helps

Ok, I will try that.

Hi @Zishan I am having the same exact annoying issue, I know it's been a while since you posted here but have you managed to solve it?

Don't know if this will help but it worked on my Focus ST when I had similar window problems. I had to 're-educate' the system by doing the following:
  • Window fully down, release button. Press button in the down position for a couple of seconds
  • Window fully up holding button all the way, release button, then hold it up for a couple of seconds.

Hi mate,

If you’ve tried all the resets yourself and it still doesn’t work, go to Mercedes’ specialist and they will reset it through the diagnostics computer.

Hope that helps
