W207 passenger air bag “off” light

When I turn ignition an illuminated waning “ passenger air bag off” appears in centre of console switches. Never noticed it before, so how do I turn it on as I don’t want pass not being protected?
However, I do have a recall notice for pass airbag, could this be linked ?

Does the message then go off after a couple of seconds? Usually these illuminate as a self-test.
Your handbook will tell you how to enable or disable the passenger airbag.

Mine also has this information warning lit up, try getting someone to sit in the Passengers Seat, it should go out!

Does it stay on when driving mine would have came on for first 4-5 minutes then went out.

Sorry for late update, apparently it comes on always, then goes off to show all is good. I had never noticed it before…. Stupid me !
