Hi all.

Does anybody know if there are any differences between models of CLK convertible and hardtop exhaust manifolds and down-pipes? I have a 2000-2001 convertible clk and recently purchased an exhaust for it. I went skipping out to the car only to find the front end (nearest to the engine) to be different. There are a couple of oxygen sensors (I think) on my exhaust that are not on the replacement one.

I have just ordered a copy of WIS in the hope that this will resolve the mystery but at the moment my car has no exhaust and no MOT so I was wondering how big or small a problem I have on my hands! Since selling my w126 I rarely get my hands dirty on cars but as the usually super reliable CLK has failed its MOT on an exhaust I thought I would attempt it.

Thanks all

I think the mystery has been resolved...

The w208.447 and w208.448 have different manifolds and downpipes. Now to see if they are interchangeable. The fun never stops.

Strange. I wouldn't have thought there was any reason the manifolds would be different between a C208 and an A208; certainly there's no reason to remove the lambda sensor from one.

Don't think its a C and A difference.

The 208.447 had the M111.975 engine with a one piece exhaust manifold; the 208.448 had the M111.982 engine where EPC shows both one piece exhaust manifold in 2 flavours (both different to the M111.975) and 2 flavours of a split manifold (cyls 1+4 and 2+3).

As its an old thread, I assume the OP sorted it out but didn't let us know.
