Guys.
Got a slightly weird one.....
My W208 CLK320 Cab, if Ive had the radio (stock MB Audio 10 CD with additional 6 disc changer on boot) on for an hour or so, at a highish level (normally if I've got the roof down, although it's not roof related) the volume drops out completely for a second or so, and then returns for a couple of seconds an then drops again. This continues constantly until I switch the ignition off. When switching back on again, the audio is fine.
I can only assume it's due to the head unit overheating.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Also, I'm led to believe there's a sub under the rear seat. Theres a small port under the armrest and I can hear low frequencies coming from it, but they are in no way loud. I find the door speakers tend to get very 'farty' on low freqs at higher levels (obviously) but i would have thought what with a sub, there would be some kind of crossover which would diver the lower freqs away from the door speakers.
Anybody know how to get to the sub, so that I can check if its working properly.
Is there a sub level or crossover frequency control that I'm missing?
Dont think I've got the Bose pack. Bought the car second hand and it came with no info about the audio system. Does have any info about the audio system that I might not have.
Thanks in advance.
