W208 Clk 320 - Fuel - Unleaded or Premium Unleaded

Hi everyone,

Just a simple question, what type of fuel is better for my W208 Clk 320, a normal unleaded or premium unleaded? Also which one gives better mpg?

i never saw a difference when i had my CLK 320. i'd say put RON 95 in and keep the extra money.

Your car is mapped to run on normal unleaded but when i had my w208 clk320 cab i used to fill it with super(v-power)every 4th tank or so mainly for the cleaning properties(i did notice a slight increase in mpg/performance when running on super but not enough to warrant running the car on it all the time)

Unless you have a sports car (something made for fast driving) you will not see any gains. As stated previously most cars are tuned to run on 95 ron, if you have a re-map done you will see a small gain in both.

Cars that are tuneable like the V8 models and AMGs will see gains. I myself run my car only on Shell V Power and see gains mostly on power not mpg as my foot is always hard down .

As post 4 every 4th tank for its cleaning properties alone That said my 230K CLK is running on Tesco Momentum 99 RON fuel and it definitely runs much better.
